Ladies of Harley/Women Riders

Did you know?

Most women riders state that riding gives them a sense of freedom and confidence.
In 2014, the estimated number of motorcycles owned by females is 14 percent, a 50 percent increase over the last 10 years. Nearly 25 percent of people who swing a leg over a motorcycle are female, this includes passengers. The percentage is probably even higher today.

There was another study conducted in 2013 that stated women riders were happier in their careers, in their friendships and in their home lives.

What is Ladies of Harley?

Ladies of Harley (LOH) is a program sponsored by the Harley Owners Group (HOG) to support women motorcycle enthusiasts, both riders and passengers! It is not a separate organization within HOG, but was established to encourage women to become more active in HOG and their local chapters.

Remember, you don’t have to have your own bike to be a LOH member. Women are encouraged to participate in chapter events as well as functions specifically for the ladies.

It is the mission of Richmond LOH to encourage all our members, male and female, to participate and help coordinate Chapter and Dealership rides, events and activities.

By joining LOH, as a lady in this world of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, we can be an integral part of creating activities that are not solely dominated by men.

Additionally, it is important to know that LOH members do NOT have to be motorcycle riders, you can simply be an enthusiastic passenger who is willing to participate a little or a lot.
